Sudden Pet Loss
Sudden pet loss can feel unbearable. When a goodbye comes without warning — through an accident, illness, or something completely unexpected — the shock can be overwhelming. There’s no time to prepare, no chance to say goodbye, and no clear place to put the pain. If you’ve experienced this, you may find yourself moving through the five stages of pet grief — often not in order, and sometimes all at once: Denial – This can’t be real. Anger – Why did this happen? It’s so unfair.

Do we send your pet away?
I’ve had a few people ask recently where we send the pets that come to us for their final journey… and honestly, I was a bit confused by the question. Because the answer is simple: we don’t send them anywhere. ❤️ Our facilities are fully on-site, and we do absolutely everything ourselves. There are no additional staff, no external companies — just Neil and myself working together as a team. We personally handle every part of the process: • collections • paperwork • paw prints

Grief - The Ball in a Box
✨ Sharing Something Truly Helpful ✨ I’m resharing this from a wonderful resource called The Ralph Site. The article is called “The Ball in the Box” — and it’s an absolutely brilliant read for anyone experiencing grief — any grief. Because grief is grief… it doesn’t distinguish between pets and humans. 💛 If you’re interested in understanding the how, what and why of grief, I honestly recommend giving their site a follow and reading this piece. It’s gentle, relatable and beaut

Coping with Anniversaries after pet loss
As we inch closer to the 1-year anniversary of our Harryboy’s passing, I’ve been thinking about all the other “firsts” we’ve been through — our first Christmas without him, his birthday, and all those little moments that reminded us of how much love he brought into our lives. 💔🐾 Losing a beloved pet never truly leaves our hearts — and special days can bring all those emotions rushing back. It could be their gotcha day, their birthday, Christmas, or simply a day that meant s

There’s no right or wrong timeline for healing. Take the time you need. 💛 If you still miss the comfort of being around animals, there are gentle ways to stay connected without the commitment of a new pet: ✨ Volunteer at a local shelter or rescue 🏡 Foster animals in need, even

What is Grief Overload
COPING WITH THE LOSS OF MULTIPLE PETS 💔 Losing more than one beloved pet in a short space of time can feel truly overwhelming. It’s more common than many realise — especially when our pets are siblings or of a similar age. They share so much of life together, and sadly, they often reach old age around the same time too. When losses come close together, it can be hard to untangle your grief — to know which feelings belong to which pet — or to feel like you’re honouring each o
